I had an amazing experience getting verified to scuba dive through Johnson's dive shop in Portland Maine! My instructors Adam and Nancy did a great job giving super clear instructions making me feel at ease even when some of the drills we had to do seemed a little scary. I learned a lot and had so much fun with the group:)

I just wanted to say that I’ve never personally been to a Johnson’s Sporting Goods store, but a couple years ago I reached out over Facebook messenger to ask them to help out a friend who’s JSG hat was ruined, and it was a hat that they wore every single day(we also live in NY so driving to the store wasn’t super possible at the time) and Carrie Johnson immediately helped me out by finding the same hat, and next day shipping it for us. That alone has to show the kind of people that run it, so thank you again Carrie I still very much appreciate your help.

I became certified for SCUBA last year and… I LOVE THIS STORE! Carrie, Adam and the rest of the staff are extremely helpful and guided me along with sound recommendations. This is a family owned businesses that actually cares about the people and the sport. They know what they are talking about from years of experience and do everything right in house which makes it personable and efficient. They take pride in knowing every diver that leaves certified is equipped with all of the gear and knowledge to be able to safely dive. All three stores are fantastic! This Portland store provides all cold water scuba gear, runs SCUBA “discover” classes with their very own indoor pool for people interested in the sport and they do air fills at all three locations! I’ve had my BCD and regulator serviced by Walter through the Brunswick store and have been helped out with fittings and questions by Greg and Chad in the Rockland store. Carrie even puts on Dive trips every year! I encourage anyone with scuba needs to go through Johnson’s- whichever store is closest to them!

We have gotten everything from cameras to coffee makers, computers to sunglasses here and are never disappointed. The staff is knowledgeable and personable, Richie is the best!!

No decent human works at a pawn shop.  Two weeks after someone pawned off my stolen tools here and the police got them back to me, these guys accepted even more of my stolen tools from the same guy with my name and phone number on it.

If I could leave a negative review I would. Not only was the ‘manager’ rude but he offered me such a low amount for my gold chain. They offered me $240, obviously I said no. I went down the street to another pawn shop, the owner was so kind and welcoming and he offered me DOUBLE.

I pawned a very nice rc truck. They took it out and ruined the body and denied it. Idc if they ever help me again it’s the principle. $45 for a new body, just so the guys know there it’s not made for the road and I never drove it in the road. Therefore the damage you did to the body by riding wheelies on paved surface is ridiculously your fault. You owe me $45!!!

Went in to buy some junk silver coins. Got a 2oz bag of coins and expected to pay around $65 for it. Instead I ended up paying over $75 for it.

When to sell my gold diamond earring and got low ball for them and not only that, there customer service was so bad I had to ask him did he have a long day because it seems like he was giving me attitude. I will not bring my business back here at all.
